Description: Yuu Baal’s mezcal production is a handmade process involving producers in various regions of Oaxaca, including San Juan del Rio, San Luis del Rio, Tiacolula, and Miahuatlan. It is made using a combination of Espadin, Madrecuishe, and Tobala agave. The agave is cooked in an underground pit oven, crushed with a tahona, fermented in pine wood vats, and double distilled in copper stills. Yuu Baal Mezcal is a social enterprise that highlights the traditional techniques of native Oaxacan mezcal producers. The team pays close attention to every detail of the production process to ensure a mystical, exotic, and delightful taste in every drink. Grupo Yuu Baal is dedicated to sustainable and environmentally-conscious practices, with all stages of production, including planting and cutting, done by hand with respect for the environment.
