Description: This exceptional spirit is fermented from a blend of 85% Muscat of Hamburg, 15% Roditis, and 5% other grape varieties, and is distilled in a small copper pot with a fractional column. The distillation process takes place nine times, at which point the heads and tails are separated and the heart is aged in French and American oak casks for at least five years but no more than 12 years. The barrels used for aging are a mix of new and used red wine barrels, as well as used vinsanto barrels, which adds depth and complexity to the flavor of the spirit. After aging, the spirit is blended and diluted to 41% ABV, and bottle aged for an additional six to 12 months before release. The resulting spirit has intense fruity aromas such as raisins, prunes, and bergamot peels, as well as spicy aromas like vanilla, chocolate, and nutmeg.
