Description: Pappy Van Winkle has earned a prominent spot among rare spirits, and its sister brand, Old Rip Van Winkle, follows closely behind. While Old Rip Van Winkle shares the same mash bill and family of products as Pappy, it stands apart with a slightly different taste and presentation, as well as a more limited price range. Often regarded as the “entry level” offering in the Old Rip Van Winkle lineup, it is bottled at nearly cask strength with a 107 proof, with a touch of limestone water added before bottling. Released annually in the fall, it is highly collectible, though occasionally a smaller allocation may be available in the spring.
