Description: Situated at 63° north, High Coast distillery is one of the world’s most northerly distilleries, and the 63rd parallel runs through one of its warehouses. Inspired by this, High Coast have created 63, a heavily peated Swedish single malt, inspired by the number 63.

Using malt that is peated to 63ppm, this whisky has been matured in 63 litre ex-bourbon casks for 63 months, stored 63 metres above the floor of the warehouse, and bottled at 63% ABV. The result is a fruity, smoky whisky with aromas of earthy peat, black pepper, coriander and bell pepper. The palate offers notes of toffee, caramel, red cherries and baked apples, balanced by ginger, pink peppercorn and surprisingly gentle peat smoke.
