Description: Cartier 30 is a bold, unaged rum crafted in the mountainous town of Santa Maria Tlalixtac, Oaxaca. At altitudes reaching 4,000 feet, the Krassel family cultivates, harvests, and distills 100% organic java sugarcane to create this unique spirit. 

Distilled from fresh cane juice, the name “Cartier 30” harks back to an old alcohol measurement system, equivalent to roughly 70% ABV—historically favored in the village, where it was often mixed with fresh cane juice and enjoyed as a shot. 

This traditional aguardiente is naturally fermented and distilled using the family’s custom-designed still, an innovation by Max Krassel, who emigrated from Germany to Mexico in the 1930s. The still, engineered to produce no heads or tails, relies on precise temperature control in the cooling chambers and a steady flow of fresh cane juice to regulate the distillation ABV.

Bottled at a potent 70.3% ABV with no added sugar or water, Cartier 30 is unapologetically funky, grassy, briny, and packed with punchy character—perfect for enthusiasts of unaged rums that deliver bold and authentic flavors.
